Cinematic Sky & Creative Director Tony Carlin celebrated a major win at the SME Enterprise NI Awards when they walked away with the title of Best NI Drone Business 2023. Tony’s aerial work has been a regular fixture on NI televisions including one of the country’s most beloved and most watched Tv shows, UTV’s Mahon’s Way for which Tony is the principle drone pilot. Last year his drone work also featured on BBC, RTE, TG4, as well as international streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky.

Cinematic Sky were commissioned to produce a video promoting the International Appalachian Trail. This 279 mile walk stretches from the tip of South Donegal to the North Coast of Ireland. Our drone and creative camera team filmed every step of along the way - Find out more in our blog piece.

We were asked by Donegal County Museums to help document historical sites around Inch Island through aerial photography, video, and 3D mapping for the CINE project - an amazing project which worked with the local island community to explore the fascinating history of Inch.
From September to October we were making regular trips to Dublin to the new multi-billion Cherrywood site to capture the construction and gas works there. We were contacted by construction, gas and drilling behemoths BBCLG, Gas Networks Ireland and McCormack Drilling and tasked with creating a dynamic promotional video to showcase the scale and complexity of the project. The Project later won Irish Construction Project of the Year.
Cinematic Sky were hired to create this promotional aerial video of the new Mo Mowlam Playpark in Stormont, Belfast. The video was shot entirely by drone and was created for Wicksteed, one of the UK’s best and biggest playpark builders.
We have been working with some of the UK and Ireland’s biggest gas, drilling and construction companies to document their work and create eye catching aerial photography and promotional videos.
We worked with Chris McAlinden from Pillarpix Media to provide some stunning drone footage of the guys from Foyle Search and Rescue at work. The footage was used by Chris and his team to create a promotion film for Foyle Search and Rescue's Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for vital new equipment to support the invaluable work the guys do for the people of Derry.
